1980s

This great group enjoyed a fun mini-reunion in Marshall Park, including a short pontoon ride on Lake Mendota (before a storm came). Christine Eshun, MA ’89 was recognized with a Leadership Award at the Catholic Charities of Madison annual Faith in Action Celebration. Chris was honored especially for her service as a teacher at St. James Catholic School in Madison, where she has taught for more than thirty years. 1990s

Chip MacKenzie ’90, has joined Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart as Vice President of Institutional Advancement. He has experience in development, recruiting, operations management and alumni relations from his time at UW-Milwaukee. In addition, Chip has previously served as Athletic Director at West Allis Central High School.

Deborah Gaughan, ’92, O.S.F. became the 1,256 perpetually professed member in the Joliet Franciscan Congregation on April 28, 2018. She says “God had this plan for me from the beginning!” Though she felt called to become a Sister while in first grade, she says there were many unexpected turns and challenges throughout her life that made her doubt. However, Deborah says, in the end, God called her by name and she willingly responded. A. Denise Starkey, O.P., ’95, MA ’97, an Associate Professor at College of St. Scholastica, received the 2018 Max H. Lavine Award. The highest award for teaching excellence at the College of St. Scholastica, the Lavine Award is given annually to a faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to furthering the mission of the College through value-oriented teaching in the Benedictine tradition.

Heather (Hansen) Daniels ‘01 was named Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Colorado State University.

Angela (Witmer) Justman ’05 is a Controller at MSA Professional Services at the company’s headquarters in Baraboo, Wis. She brings more than 20 years of expertise to MSA, including tenure as the Director of Finance and Administration at the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Jennifer (Bong) Schwertfeger ’10 and Steven Schwertfeger welcomed their son, Benjamin Richard, on May 22, 2017.

Kacie Conroy MBA ’14 was promoted to Director of Information Technology for M3 Insurance in Madison. Over the past three years as M3’s IT Manager, she has drawn on her 15 years of business analyst and project management consulting experience to help M3 create innovative solutions. She is also the chair of M3’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Outside of M3, Kacie serves on the   School of Business Advisory Board at Edgewood College, and runs “Girls Educating Themselves about Information Technology” (GET IT), which educates young girls about IT careers.
